I was sent an invite today by a friend of mine about a website called YouSwop.Com

The idea is simple, it’s a trade and bartering site on the web meant to promote a cashless trade interaction. Each item is assigned a value by the seller. The values assigned as in YS (YouSwop) Dollars. Each YS$ is equal to USD$ 1.

And I quote from their website:

What is Swop and how does it work?

A simple explanation of Swop refers to the exchange of goods and services without the use of cash.

In YouSwop^TM, you Swop “Sell” your unwanted items for YS Dollars (YS$) and use the YS$ to Swop “Buy” any items listed in the Swop Vault.

Alternatively, for exotic or collector items which does not have a price tag, you can contact the owner directly to do a one-on-one swop.

Currently, membership is invitational. Most members are from Singapore but of course, it would be great to build a strong Philippine market here as well.

I have visited a lot of finance-related websites and I realize that I have not really shared any substantial information on any of them.

Well, my pick today is DollarTimes.Com.  I browsed it before and found pretty interesting things like budget worksheets (finance templates) and online finance calculators.

It’s really geared more towards a US market but a lot of the tools they have are really useful to folks us over in the pacific.  The website is actually a calculator site meant to help people calculate for things like earnings, profit, interest, debt and other items like mortgage and savings.
